Jean Girigori (1948 – residing in the Dominican Republic)
Jean Girigori was born on a ship between the Dominican Republic and Curaçao. She is the child of a Dominican mother and an Antillean father.
Many of her paintings illustrate the poor life in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
Her work brings a great message to the people who have visited her expositions.
She exhibited her work in several countries like the Netherlands, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, USA, Brazil and, of course, in Curaçao.
