    Wim de Waal (1934, Curaçao)

Started painting at a young age. At the age of 25, after some personal problems, he intensifies his painting. All his work expresses the same message: the unity of the cosmos.
De Waal is of the opinion that there is life in everything, even in a stone. It's only a matter of development.

De Waal has made several wall paintings on the Netherlands Antillean islands, especially on Aruba. Famous is his painting in an Aruban church: "the creation" where the cell was created in the water. The cell became the fish. The fish produced the amphibian, who in its turn produced the reptile and through the reptile the mammal was created. And ultimately came the human.

This painting, although completely contradictory to the story of the creation as written in the bible, was highly appreciated.

Wim de Waal participated in several one-man and group expositions in Aruba, Curaçao, New York and Mexico City. Wim de Waal works with acrylic on coral sand.
